HISTORY

MEETING CRITICAL NEEDS TO STRENGTHEN ORGANIZATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR YOUTH IN DEVELOPMENT MAINSTREAMING:

Founded in 1995, and Operational in 1996; The organizations uniqueness lies in its high profile Policy Advocacy and Project Consultancy services on Young People, including Children's concerns within National, Regional and International system. In this we make particular effort to nurture partnerships with especially the United Nations and its agencies, advancing the role of young people through Participation, Service delivery, Capacity Building and Networking amongst others in the achievement of Sustainable Development.

Our philosophy is that of sustainable development an inheritance right. This evolves our present challenge to implement a youth development agenda that is integrated strategically within the goals of Social and Economic Development and social well-being; an agenda for Sustainable Development through 21st Century Leadership.

In a World where development is no longer a process but a condition and a reality, these areas of concern are of a key institutional and Programmatic relevance to the vision and mission of CDA. These areas of concern include; Organizational Management, Human resource and Capability Status, Developmental Policy Instruments, Social Dialogue and tripartism, Technology Transfer and Capacity Building Youth Development Monitoring, Assessment, Information and Research, Human Right and Sexuality and support to Governments.

The need for an integrated and coherent translation of policy response to action on the current and emerging developmental challenges and young people is mirrored in the presentation of an integrated operational system and identity and structure for CDA Intl. CDA is locally registered in Nigeria as a non-for-profit, non-governmental organization.
